Neglecting the basic necessities of life to a child would be a much bigger case of abuse, I'm sure.

agreed!

But everykid got their Happy Meal and were quite boisterous stating that they were having fun with their new toy....and it was a joyous sight to see.....Everyone so happy.

I saw no less than 25 families there...and trust me, I checked. A good time was had by all.......so it's as I said, once a week ain't bad for the kid at all!!!

I didn't see any kids who were obese or who were in need of CAS care. Good thing, cause it was a Sunday and they'd probably be on call....so I'd have to wake someone up....

Nobody did disagree with that. It's called twisting the argument to redeem yourself.

Not acceptable. You are building the world for the future generations, and by not utilizing the knowledge generated by your generation to improve it, you're a waste of space.

By supporting the junk food lifestyle, you are helping it to grow and validating it. In this aspect of life, the best thing you could do for future generations is to not support these junk food outlets by going to places that offer healthier choices. They will get the message eventually.

Case in point, McDonalds recently announced a plan to introduce lower cost meals in reaction to declining growth and profits. This, unfortunately, means even lower quality meals, but it shows that they believe they can do this in order to raise their profits -- they believe COST, not HEALTH is the reason that people are not going to McDonalds as often. They do their research, and if customers stopped going for health reasons, they would discover this and react accordingly.

What are the chances of this happening? My guess is that the chance is slim, because we are not here for a long time; might as well enjoy it!

The "treats" allowance is offset by the huge amount of sugar and other rubbish in MOST of the unnatural food you buy from the supermarket, where most processed food has sugar in it, "low fat" = "more salt and sugar", "ultra low fat" = "even more salt and sugar", etc...

From a humanistic point of view, I understand what you are saying, though.. and I agree. The problem is that a lot of things not considered "treats" by the consumer are ignorantly consumed daily. They're not treats because they're routine.

Maybe, we should agree to disagree on this subject. We are all entitled to our opinions but I don't think that arguing about it is going to change anyone's minds either way.

Some of us...who shall remain "nameless" insist that their lifestyle is totally healthy and devoid of any fast-food or junk-food. It is extremely difficult to discuss an issue with a person with such narrow mindness as they have no room whatsoever in their thinking to entertain anyone else's ideas. Hence, I'm with Roxxy....I shan't be coming back to this thread - cause frankly it's not a discussion - it's one or two people trying to impose their will among all the people. Their minds are closed to anyone else's point of view.........

A man can sleep around, no questions asked, but if a woman makes nineteen or twenty mistakes she's a tramp.
