Not acceptable. You are building the world for the future generations, and by not utilizing the knowledge generated by your generation to improve it, you're a waste of space.
By supporting the junk food lifestyle, you are helping it to grow and validating it. In this aspect of life, the best thing you could do for future generations is to not support these junk food outlets by going to places that offer healthier choices. They will get the message eventually.
Case in point, McDonalds recently announced a plan to introduce lower cost meals in reaction to declining growth and profits. This, unfortunately, means even lower quality meals, but it shows that they believe they can do this in order to raise their profits -- they believe COST, not HEALTH is the reason that people are not going to McDonalds as often. They do their research, and if customers stopped going for health reasons, they would discover this and react accordingly.
What are the chances of this happening? My guess is that the chance is slim, because we are not here for a long time; might as well enjoy it!
