Well, I'll pretend this post is about a common North American currency and not a misinformed opinion about the pending hostile takeover by those dastardly hoodlums south of our border.
In which case, a common currency would probably be a natural progression to the NAFTA. I am not sure how the European Union's common currency is faring, however I think a buck, is a buck. is a buck. Don't get me wrong, I am a true Canadian loyalist and our coloured money rocks, however cash (the folding kind) is being phased out.
The only time I use cash is at the Ortons', when I pay for my XL java, lotsa' muck and one sugar.
When cash is history, another barrier will fall and we'll be that much closer. How the transition happens is beyond the scope of my knowledge, however, I am possitive about one thing. We WILL get screwed in the end, so to speek!
