It actually posted twice (we deleted one). We have a posting delay in the "Freebie/contest" section of the forum because we often had so many "chatting" type posts in that section that it created major traffic jams, preventing many members from logging on at all because the server was so overwhelmed.

When you post in that section, you will not see your post right away but it will show up in the next couple of hours, depending on site traffic.

I only go for contests that I feel I can help my family out with though, like food, cleaning products, and any new cars I would just sell LOL

For the past 2 days I have been trying to get into the Bowl & it keeps telling me have to download a file to enter. If I say yes to the download it then says the file can't be opened

This has only happened with goldfishlegs and I tried different ways to enter - directly from the link or from my bookmarks - but today there is no problem. Is this a Bowl issue or my computer?

I don't know...I have had no problems and have had no other similar reports. Has anyone else experienced this?


If no one else replies then you can safely assume it is a local computer problem. If anyone else had this problem please say when and add which Operating system you use.

What file does it ask you to download?

I'm not having the problem anymore - it just started working normally again. However, when I tried to log in it would ask me to download "goldfishlegs bowl" and if I did it couldn't be opened. I tried to search and got prompted to download "goldfishlegs search". And so on through different pages & functions.

It just had me confused because it ONLY happened on goldfishlegs - and I tried nearly every other site on my favourites list to be sure.

I'm using Windows XP

I am still getting replies how do I disconnect from this group, I do not like being involved with cheat codes and the likes as well as other issues within the members..no thanks

Definitely. Please follow these steps:
Click the orange "MYBOWL" button at the top right of the page (this is in a group of three buttons, including MYBOWL, SEARCH, and HELP!).
Then from the My Bowl page, click on the "My Settings" link at the top right.
From the My Settings page, click the "Password" link that appears in the upper left under the words "My Settings".

Sorry that it's a little convoluted!
