I have folders set up for my daily, weekly and monthly contests, and then have to set up something different if a contest is posted before it starts. If I don't find somewhere else to put it, I would miss it entirely, and if someone posts it again when it actually starts running, it would then be deleted as a repost.

Am I the only one who finds the posting of contests before their start dates difficult?

why not? just copy and paste a future contest that is posted here ( the website etc )..then send an email to yourself via your own email...and ..in the subject area....type when the contest us starting..example...jan 1st, 2007..and then email it to your self....then when you are going through your email..you will see it....I find it no problem actually..

Thanks, very helpful hint and works for all contests listed,never thought of sending an email to myself but it works!

that is how i do my sweeps like quick and simple word of the day
i certainly NEVER rely on a web site for contests
if the web site goes down you are ....fish outa luck
so better to rely on yourself instead and either send emails to yourself OR bookmark the contests with the expiry date
i could never do 350+ daily contests by going to a slow web site!!!!

you're welcome!..actually I do not use any sweeps programs or separate file folders etc....I set up all my contests via email to myself...copy and pasting all the pertinent info I require to enter...with the closing date in the subject line...if it is daily, weekly or monthly there also..when I entered last ( not for dailies of course )...and I have the website URL listed in the body of the message area along with what the prizes are....and I just work entering them daily from my inbox down the list until I am done...THEN..when a contest is finished..I simply then move it over on to my drafts file folder..if I win..I can then pull it out from my draft folder....print it out ( to file away into my physical paper file as well as attaching this to the printed out declaration forms etc and keeping them until prize received. ...and in also keeping the prize value and what is included in the contest ...I can also make sure that the organization is giving me all that the contest entitled the winner to! I know everyone has a different system..but I like this one for myself...
