The first time they ran that contest, I received a fab scented body lotion, but it took a LOOONG time to arrive - I had forgotten that I won it. Last report I head was that they had run out of stock on the prizes and would ship out when a new batch came in.
The prizes I heard about were hair gels, lotions, keychains, etc.

I guess we'll have to wait and see....maybe it will be a Christmas present

I emailed the promo company that said I won a Loreal Gift Basket and they said that the stock hasn't arrived from Loreal yet but as soon as it does, they are sending them out. The form said "fax it to us and your prize will be shipped out immediately"....and that was back in June! LOL

well speaking from experience, I had my poem in one of their books and a letter from them stating I am in the running for semi-finals and then a chance for alot more if I win, well I am now going on 3 years later and I still get emails about a ceremony with no obligations but they will supply your meal at the cermemony but your are responsible for hotel and food otherwise. I called about the price and trust me I dont make enough money to even afford it. Still no award for poem and notice about who won semi-final or even final for that matter. oh but i have a big big book of poems now collecting dust on my coffee table. the company is a huge farce!!!! Just thought i would put in my 2 cents,

Hi there, I just wanted to say that I had several poems published in that, (poetry.com, with each poem being in a book) and I was even sent a letter stating that I was in for the top prize. All I needed was about $1000, to cover everything, hotel, air fare, food, etc. I found out this is a scam! They said I HAD to fly to Florida to get my trophy that I had also won, they wouldn't send it to you. Then they said they'd mail me a 'certificate' instead. SOO many mags have contests and online too, check those ones out. And, don't be too surprised when they say he's been choosen and to buy the book.

Wow...geez...Well I thought this might be the case, sounded to good to be true.......tks for the help ranna & bingocutey.......we were not about to submit any $$'s to them that's for sure!

Since your husband has that talent, I would suggest doing a search on the net for legitimate poetry clubs or writer's guilds in Canada. Quite often, throughout the year, these groups offer contests of their own which are not scams, not to mention that I'm sure they could connect you to other clubs or agencies who help budding poets get their works published.

Often when I try to enter a contest or complete a survey the site tells me I have already done it, even though I haven't. Most of the time when I try to get coupons from Save.ca they say I have exceeded my limit or I have to wait a certain number of days since I ordered the last same coupon (which I didn't). The only thing I can think of is that my "daughter-in-law" uses my computer & also orders coupons. I use AOL - she uses MSN Explorer and I would have thought these were separate - but I am the original computer dummy! Can somebody explain this to me & tell me how we can both order coupons from the same computer?

Just wondering if any fishies know of any sites like Chapmans where you can play games and redeem for prizes?

My in laws are celebrating their 50th anniversary. I remember reading something in the forums of getting a certificate or something from the prime minister for this. Does any fishie remember?

You should ask for these 6-8 weeks ahead of time, at least.

I won a Levi's gift certificate on here but i cannot find any Levi's store close to me. The only one i can find is Yorkdale but it is too far. I live in Brantford. Does anyone know of any other stores around here? Thanks if anyone can help

Thanks.. most of those are just retailers but i actually found a couple actual "Levi's" stores which is what i need and both were out of service. Maybe that's why i won because there is no where to spend it lol
