I got the Greenies today too. My boyfriend found an article online about a class action lawsuit against Greenies because it caused intestinal blockage and/or death in 25 (I think?) dogs in the US. (Sorry, I don't know what site he read it on.) So I haven't given them to the dogs as I'm a little paranoid now...has anyone heard about this? If it's true, 25 would be a tiny percentage, since they sell a lot of them...but still! (BTW I'm not trying to stress out anyone who gave their dogs Greenies!!)

You know, a few years back there was the same hype with rawhide bones and pigs ears. Causes blockage, carries salmonella, they can choke, blah blah blah. Dogs are not the smartest creatures out there and can actually choke on their tongue if given the opportunity. Besides, anything that can lick its own crotch probably already has a mess of other problems! I have given my dog every treat imaginable and she has never had a problem except for rawhide, which I found splintered too much and made me nervous because she would cough a lot after having one. I have been giving my dog and cats Greenies for quite a while now and have run into no problems. In fact, they are the preferred treat around here. Use at your own discretion of course, but I love them and just received four "tasty" packs a few days ago. Each to their own but I have no problem with them!
