I even got over the fact that Walburg (sp?) was a Heavy Metal dude! LOL...I thought for sure he couldn't pull off the look but DAMN he did and the movie kicked some major butt
(of course this is just my opinion) LOL...(hubby loved it too)

Do you like kinda weird movies about kinda weird people?

I just saw a movie yesteday that I thought was great...it's called Ghost World & stars Thora Birch & Steve Buscemi.

Pretty much my thoughts are that if Steve Buscemi is in a movie, I'm gonna like it. (Fargo, Things to do in Denver when you're dead, Reservoir Dogs) He definitely tends to be in quirky movies, not ones with huge box office dollars & advertising hype.

Do you like foreign films with subtitles?

A few good rentals I have had recently are:
1. Series 7: The Contenders
2. Following
3. Gangster No. 1
4. American Pie 2 it actually was funny!

If you're in the mood for a sappy romance for Valentine's day, I can recommend 'Sweet November' - you've got to have Keanu-immunity and trust your husband with Charlize Theron, though...

If you haven't seen Shrek yet...it's a must see! The Emperors New Groove is a funny toon flick as well.

If you have a artsy video store near by go there and take a chance on an independant, Canadian or foreign film there are some really good ones

i usually pick films done by my favorite actors... then even if the movie is a .. i don't feel as bad 'cuz i enjoyed WATCHING the actors.. for example.. harrison ford.. richard gere... etc

Those are all good.I just watched Anatomie It was very good. A suspence/horror, it reminded me of Coma
