Must've done 2nd chance drawings from those who didn't respond as there were 200 of them! My daughter won that a while ago. I just printed off the papers, signed them, scanned them and emailed them back and then less than 2 weeks later her prize came.

The question was
(300 + 25 - 75 x 4) divided by 5
Now thankfully they gave me four answers to choose from because I got 200 as an answer (and it wasnt listed)
WRONG
Google says
(300 + 25 - (75 x 4)) divided by 5 = 5
( I went with thier answer LOL).
Note the extra bracket tho..

It is heartening to see that contest organizers are actually using the correct rules of math (BEDMAS) when writing their questions.

The point of the extra brackets is to save confusion not cause it. It just shows you that the multiplication portion has to be done separately before you subtract, which is how ALL equations are supposed to be done: inside brackets first and then multiplication and division before you do any adding or subtracting.

the easiest way to simplify it, IF your not sure ask the people who sent you the release forms and STQ. whether it's done by BEDMAS or simply left to right. Solves all headaches.
