Well, it DOES come in handy if you have a horse.... my mom owns one and uses this specific product, it's also rumoured by all who use this that it works great as a conditioner on hard-to-manage human hair, I tried it years ago, and it's great stuff.

I'm sure there's lots of ppl in Canada who own horses and who could benefit from this freebie.

I'm not going to withhold a freebie for teachers just because I am not one and cannot personally benefit from the posting.

I don't find it obscure at all, in my rural area in Ontario, there's a farm, riding arena, etc. every couple of miles...... and Flamborough Downs as well, which is huge venue, not to mention Mohawk Raceway, there's tons of horse owners in Ontario who could benefit.

I've seen Straight Arrow Mane 'n Tail Conditioner at Cosco etc in with the hair care products. I've used it myself (on me, not the horse) and it seemed like a decent conditioner. Must have found something I liked better cause I never finished the bottle. I seem to recall that they also made a lotion for hooves (and hands). And yes, udder balm is supposed to be great for chapped hands though I haven't tried it myself.
