I thought the awards were too long and BORING.

I gave the oscars a miss, like I do with every other awards show.. Sides, a great vancouver/edmonton hockey game was on tonight!

Would have liked to have seen Halle Berry. Caught a clip and I love it when the winner is stunned and speechless. Much more gracious reaction compared to, say, "I'm the king of the world!"...

damn.. i missed out.. i went to watch the canucks lose to the oilers.. what a ripoff.. sounds like it was a good one this year too.

I watched it for a few hours and decided to go to bed and just read about it today. I think they need to make the Oscars more appealing to the younger audiences (35 and under) as most of the reference to older movies (which they frequently do) mean very little to the younger crowd. Also, who is responsible for making all these actors stars --- the younger audience !

Something doesn't seem right when films that never even played in theatres in my region are nominated for Best picture. I think I am best of watching awards like the People's Choice or MTV awards -- one's that give awards to films that entertain.

That's a consequence of living in a small city with only one theatre, Chuck. Some movies have even had to win an Oscar before they get a decent run here. (Shakespeare In Love)

I guess you mis-understand me -- i dont "care about movies" -- i just like to watch them and be entertained. No deep thought, no over-analyzing, no pow-wows with friends to discuss plot, character development, etc. -- simply sit and watch
