My 14yr old daughter wants a horse of her own, I thought I could help her raise some money by helping her make things to sell at our local "the old store", they sell every day items plus, crafts, paintings and other items by local crafts people. Something they don't sell are pet items, so I thought if we could make some things like dog beds and bandannas, or even things for horses, maby leg wraps or blankets that I could help her raise the money for her HORSE.

It`s a very large purchase for a young girl so I would like her to help out with the costs as much as possible, because the more of her own money she pitches in the more responsible she will be.(not that she not responsible, but it means more to children if they have to think about the money side and not just the getting what you want part.)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

She could put her stuff up on Etsy. It is kind of like eBay but for crafters. I have seen shops done by kids, one had sold 15 pieces of his artwork at 2.50US and I think he was under 6.

It costs 10cents to list items, and you would pay for the fees with credit card, so she would need some help from you. It would give her a world wide shop. I also think that with her story she might get a lot of people looking and maybe buying her stuff.

gilsan thank you very much this is a great idea and my daughter is so excited, she`s already thinking of crafty ideas and i think she hase come up with some very good ideas that would be great to sell on esty.

Well good luck I hope she sells lots. She should try and post in the forums, like this one,to get attention to her store. Let me knoe when it is up and I will check it out.
