Thursday Dec 8th show. I missed on how to make the popcorn ornament. I can't find it on their web. It was a different twist on stringing popcorn. Which we do every year, but I would like a new idea. They looked cute. But I don't know how they made them.

Anyone see today's episode?

Thanks
Kritafo

We were thinking of stringing popcorn, cranberries & such on our little backyard pine tree as a treat for the neighbourhood birdies? Does anyone know if this could harm them in any way?

I sent CityLine an email asking about the ornament. I would love to see it too!

I'll let you know when/if they get back to me.

We have done this before. We won't do it again because we live in a heavily wooded area with just too much wildlife for this and it was stripped bare by the next morning. We just fill our feeders really often. It's a wonderful idea in a more urban area where you would like to attract birds, though.
Use waxed dental floss or twine on a large blunt needle. Don't use fishing line since ithe birds can't see it and can get entangled.
You can also add chunks of apple, dried raisins or fruit and peanuts still in the shell if you like.

Thanks..I was going to do that. Email the show. I am going to see if I can find a torrent file for that show as well. I missed both times yesterday.
I just happen to flip by it when they had already moved onto the wreath. But I am tired of the same old string of popcorn and liked the ones I could see.

Thanks

Here are a few popcorn ornament ideas.

The first is a link from HGTV - very interesting idea, and everyone will be wondering how you did it!

This one looks nice and easy:

Here's a twist on traditional christmas trims. Instead of stringing popcorn on string for your tree. String it onto medium-gauge wire and bend the wire into shapes such as bells, hearts, or stars. Add a ribbon to the top!
(from THIS page that has all kinds of simple and cute Christmas ornament crafts for kids)

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

okay gals, here's what they wrote back to me....

Dear Cyndi,

That segment will not be on the website, simply because it just involves stringing coloured popcorn on some wire! If you really want more info, the show will repeat again next thursday morning at 9am on the A-Channel.

Sorry,
CityLine

There you go!
