Time for a rules revamp?

Hi all. I'm still in awe that this particular train has been running since 2006 with only minor problems during this time. I have had a few suggestions come through this year and several PM conversations with some of you on the HVT.

Is there any suggestions or ideas you'd like to offer up? For example, a few suggestions to date include:

- Upping the lowest dollar value of a coupon to $2 minimum.
- Requiring everyone to submit FPC or at Minimum good B1G1F coupons
- Including a name checklist for those who add and take FPCs
- Including Try Me Free / Rebate Offers

Is there any of these things you'd like to see incorporated into train rules? Would you like to make additional suggestions or voice an opinion? haha nope. When I made a post on April 10th I forgot to mention that I also sent the train out.

I would love to get onboard this train please! If you still need people that is!

I think upping the minimum value is a good idea and I am open to the others as well.

I received the train today and am putting it back in the mail tonight on it's way to Keykey. I had to remove a bunch of expired coupons which decreased the size. I added a lot which I hope can be of use to someone on route.

I know I find FPCs harder to get now than I did a couple years ago. So I do understand if someone doesn't have a FPC or two on-hand *every* time, but I think it is safe to say everyone should be able to contribute these every couple stops and also add in good, higher value coupons.

When the train rolls back to me, I'll set out the new rules and I think we should double the minimum value to $2.00 per single item purchased (e.g. $2 on 1 product, save $4 on 2 products, B1G1F, and so on).

There are a lot of good $1 coupons out there, but we can all save those for the GFL Main train -- or other trains we belong to.

We've also had this route for awhile now, so when the train returns to me I will also change the route list order so we all have a chance to send /receive from all others.

Passenger to-do list -- Everyone should PM me with the following details:

-- If your address has changed make sure you tell me (or I'll use current list address info).
-- Is there a member you'd especially like to send to (or receive from)? Let me know and I'll do the best I can... NO PROMISES THO!
-- Coupons are different from province to province. Even though we might have a couple extra Canada Post days, I'd like to order the list a bit more varied so we have more chances to gain coupons not distributed in our provinces.
-- Suggestions or ideas for rule changes.
-- PM me your top 5-10 "wish list" items and I will type it on the route list.

Wow, so sorry you didn't find anything good in the envelope!

I would expect all trains are delayed right now with the Canada Post strike, and maybe for a bit after mail starts getting through. Envelopes might also have lots of expired coupons when they start arriving.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to look for new high-value coupons to fill the envelopes up when things move again!
