I actually exchanged 70,000 points from my HBC rewards for a $10.00 coupon and used it in my Amazon purchase which for some reason was applied as a discount bringing the total under $75.00. I e-mailed complaining that it should have been applied after taxes as a gift certificate in order to qualify for the coupon and sure enough I got my $10.00.

I used up all my HBC points on amazon.ca certificates and was wondering if I should go shopping at the Bay for more points.

No need.

You can now redeem Petro Canada petro-points for amazon.ca certificates. $10 and $25 increments:

http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/petropoints/906.aspx

No need to even wait for an email. When I redeemed my points, it showed me the code and I used it to place an order right away. Real easy.

Thanks, benansttor!
(It’s nice that they have a $25 promo GC available. But it would take A LOT of gas to get enough points for that!)

Well, if you don't buy enough gas, maybe you buy enough groceries. I just discovered that if you have any President's Choice Points, you can exchange them 10,000 PC Points = 10,000 Petro Points and go from there:

http://www.pcpoints.ca/en/redirect_...L=ABOUT_FRM.ASP

Hope that helps!

Thanks hip, but I’m pretty sure that this deal is dead. Amazon still hasn’t gotten around to deleting that page.

If you really really want this deal: sign-up, wait a few days, then send or call Amazon.ca to complain that you never got the GC. If the CS person is nice, he or she might give you one for being a squeaky wheel.

Another option is to just use the $10 off $50 coupon on the 1st page.

Sorry to get hopes up, I've found no new codes.

I have noticed in the last 2 weeks prices fluctuating throughout the day. I usually keep dozens of items in my shopping cart. I was trying to hold off for a coupon but it's been so long I finally placed an order. I was choked because the night before one of the items was $3 cheaper. Then I checked back and it had dropped back to being $3 cheaper. I started checking Amazon.ca at different times of the day. When you go to your shopping cart it tells you if prices have increased or decreased. It has been all over the place. Some items have been $6 different. In the matter of 10 minutes the price of a DVD varied 4 times.

The US site has done this for awhile, and the Amazon.ca site seems to have had some upgrades recently (positive ones, IMO), so maybe that behaviour came in with those upgrades.

Although it may be annoying, I find it a pretty interesting and clever behaviour... so much so that I don't really find it annoying

The Canadian site has been doing it for a long time too. Sometimes if you just update your shopping cart over and over a price can go up and down and up and down.

Do the Amacon.ca gift certificates that we get after redeeming HBC points have an expiry date? I might not need them now, but I think the HBC offer is too good to miss, or has it been sitting there for long? Anyone knows? Thanks

New & Hot Teen Books at Chapters!

I think this offer has been around for quite a few months I just got my 2nd one. The 1st I redeemed over a month ago. It takes about 24 hours to receive the email with the code.

There is an expiry date, the one I ordered the end of July had an expiry date of "Nov-3-12", I would assume that expires 2012, but assuming has gotten me in trouble before.
