Did you actually mail it in a special envelope?? Like we care what condition it arrives in,its not going to be used again. I just wrapped mine in a bubble wrap. Didn't want to spend $2.00 on those padded brown envelopes. Cheap aren't I. Freebie means free.

!!! My husband mailed it on the way home from work. They charged $5.06.
They told him those bubble envelopes count as a parcel and there is a minimum charge no matter how little they weigh. I sure hope this is good lipstick now that I've invested in it!

Wow, thats nuts. I mailed mine in a 9X7 bubble envelope and my postal clerk weighed it and charged me $.96 (two stamps.) I was quite surprised, I expected to pay atleast $3.00. Talk about consistency within the postal system. Hmmm.. wonder if my envelope will end up in the postal system graveyard.

I just packed mine in 2 normal envelopes, and made sure it was taped up well with packing tape. Besides, it needs to go two blocks away, and the Canada Post depot isn't that far, either.
Hopefully, it will make it. Maybe I just should have walked it there...

I went to the post office today to mail mine and the girl told me it would be over $5 and I freaked. she said it was because of it's size, not weight. The package can'te be anymore than 2" high as it has to fit the a mail slot. So just remember not to load up you lipsticks with bubble wrap and keep them as thin as possible. I ended up paying the price of a postage stamp once I cut down on the bubble wrap.

A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.

The same thing happened to me ,so I called L'Oreal and they said it should only cost around $1 ,so I returned to the post office for the second time(I must be crazy) and again was told the pkg is higher than 2'' .I took the lipstick out of my neatly taped padded env. and the girl tried to put it through the slot----still no go.Another call to L'Oreal and they said just put 2 stamps on it.I said sure ,but if it comes back returned to sender I will not go through the bother again. She said I was the only person with this problem and they would not think of letting their customers pay $5.80 for postage.Well my thoughts are why make us do this crazy mailing, couldn't they just send a free lipstick or GS. nonnicakes

I reused a small bubble envelope I already had-I didn't even add any bubble wrap so there is no way it was 2" and it was still over $5.00.

They charged me seven dollars to mail it! I called L'oreal this morning to complain, but the customer service person wasn't a lot of help, I told her I want to have the shipping and handling charges re-imbursed or an additional voucher sent to me, she said she would forward my complaint to the appropriate people, but when I asked her if I could speak to whoever was in charge of the promotion, she didn't know who it was Anyway I will wait a week, if I don't hear back I am going to call again!

Wow I feel really sorry for you that had to pay alot for postage. I am glad it didn't happen to me or I probably wouldn't even of gone through with it seeing as I don't even wear lipstick very often. I went to the $ store and got mine to mail away because the one that I do use, I am not giving away.

I also sent in a really old one that I had and never, ever wear... not to mention it was one of those long, skinny Revlon ones, which probably made it skinny enough to fint through their little slot. I just stuck three stamps on it and I am hoping for the best...

The girl at the post office said she's already returned a few "letters" for the lipstick, because they have insufficient postage and must be mailed as parcels with minimum of $4.40 postage. I've tried calling Loreal's 1 888 no and can't get through.I don't see at site to email on their website. Anyone know?
