That is AWESOME News. My roomate has been searching for his birth parents for years and years, and may finally have a lead on his father, but that is it! CONGRATS on the GREAT NEWS

Today I received the AC Neilson scanner. ( Everything I buy I scan and record then transmit the information to them for consumer research..in case anyone isnt familiar). Such a neat little gadget Any other fishies involved with this? Looks like its going to take a loooong time for the points to add up to redeem for gifts.
It had been about a year or more since I applied to be a panelist and it is just in the past 2 weeks I was contacted and sent the scanner, so anyone out there who is waiting, it takes a while but they do send them out

You probably got the one I sent back to them a month ago - was WAY too time consuming - they want you to scan EVERYTHING from groceries to manually entering codes for coupons used, freebies, pizza takeout, etc. Good luck to you if you have the patience (they often have contests for participants). If you don't have the patience, wait a couple of weeks, they will get concerned and give you $20 for returning it. I had forgotten about it

LOL...I can definately see how the novelty would wear off....we actually had that conversation tonight after scanning our groceries from tonight. Its like a new toy that will probably get real old real fast, but we shall see, might as well give it a try

I haven't scanned any of my shopping for a few weeks now! They've sent me a reminder letter but haven't offered me a bribe to send it back yet! I'm kind of bad with it, I only scan stuff that makes it to the house like stuff from Loblaws & Shoppers, I simply don't have the time or energy to save bar codes off snack packages & water bottles from when I'm out!

I found the scanning to be too much also. I never did get anything out of it either except that $20 for sending it back late! Maybe it will pay off for some patient fishies who like the scanning.

That's funny, I had it too, was ok at first, but omg it drove me nuts after a while, and once you miss and they send that offer for the $20 and still forget about it, well watch out they get nasty.
They sent me a bill for the stupid thing for almost $500, I wasn't empressed! I called them and said, look I'm sending it back, and there's no way I'm paying you $500 for it.
