Now that the bowl is cooking up a storm;is there any cooking secrets anyone would like to share?

Quick brown sugar when you run out;like I am always doing.

Place 1 cup white sugar and 1 tbsp molasses in a food processor, process till well blended. Voila brown sugar.

To sour sweet milk, add 1 tbsp. lemon or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. In most recipes sweet milk may be used instead of sour by substituting 1 tsp. baking powder for every 1/4 tsp. soda.

Now that I know that there are other bakers here- does anyone know the secret to making a souffle? I've tried but to no avail.

Make sure your eggs are at room temperature and the souffle dish is icy cold when you pour your mixture in.

So here's an idea. Why don't we compile a GFL cookbook, and use it as a Christmas gift? Who can come up with the best cover pic?

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!

Pandoracat's suggestions are excellent but you should also be careful not to let anyone stomp around near the oven (seriously) and make sure after you grease the souffle dish you dust it generously with flour or sugar so it will climb higher.
