DELETE THIS FILE! It is an actual Windows file that is needed on your computer!!! HOAX! HOAX! HOAX! DO NOT DELETE THE FILE!!!

Dear All,

One of our contacts has sent us a message regarding the following which
got
into their address book. I have followed the procedure below and
deleted
it, please do the same. So sorry about this.

The virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee
anti-virus systems and sits dormant for 14 days before damaging the
system.
It's sent automatically by the messenger and by the address
book, whether or not you send e-mails to your contacts. Here is how to
check
for the virus and how to get rid of it.

1. Go to Start, click on Find or Search option.
2. In the Files/Folder option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe
3. Be sure you search your C drive and any other drives you may have.
4. Click "Find Now".
5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT
OPEN IT.
6. Go to Edit, choose "Select All" to highlight the file without
opening it.
7. Now go to the file and select "Delete". It will then go to the
Recycle
Bin.
8. Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it from there too.

IF YOU FIND THIS VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR
ADDRESS BOOK SO THAT THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.

To do this,
1. Open a new e-mail message.
2. Click the photo/icon of the address book next to "To"
3. Click every name and add it to BCC
4. Copy this message, enter subject, paste to e-mail and send
immediately.

HELPFUL INFO FOR THOSE WHO DID DELETE THIS FILE. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING.


How to restore the Jdbgmgr.exe file
If you have deleted this file, restoration is optional. However, without it, some Java applets may not run correctly. This is not a critical system file.

To restore the file, follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article Virus Hoax: Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java (Jdbgmgr.exe) Is Not a Virus (Q322993).

I have been receiving this one alot also!

I received this HOAX about 2 months ago and like a dummy deleted the file! I have tried everything suggested and can't get it back. SO NEVER DELETE A FILE ENDING IN EXE.

I go further than that, don't ever delete anything on the basis of one person emailing you without first researching it!

I fell for this too and deleted the file. My sister hooked me up with this link I got the file back and you can scan for virus and find out which one are hoaxes and which are real.

I recieved a virus called "Loading Lolita". It attaches itself everywhere!! Like a fool I tried deleting it all. Then I wrote a nasty e-mail to the webmaster. He/She wrote back appologizing for that (I guess someone used to web site to do all that). He sent me the procedure to get rid of it....I can't find it (I think I got rid of it). But before deleting anything (LOading Lolita, write to the webmaster)
