Hi wilmagrace! You DO NOT have to sign up for the newsletter to join; it is optional. scraps is right -- no contests right now.

I happened to look at the globe and mail today and the word is performance

does anybody remember a contest that might have been opened to both the U.S. and Canada that was sponsored by sherwin-williams co? today i rec'd a W8 BEN form to fill out that would apparently entitle me to NOT lose 30% of 'any payment' made to me..BUT the form does not state at all WHAT I apparently 'won' or anything else..just their name and address, my name and address and the form to fill out! most weird! anybody else ever get this and or recognize a sweepstake/contest from the above info? thanks if you can help..;-))

WELL TO ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION!...I BELIEVE THIS WAS A SCAM TO GET MY PERSONAL INFO TO USE IT AS IDENTITY THEFT! SINCE sherwin williams did NOT notify me I won such a prize..why then would I get this U.S. FORM? SO everybody..please be careful if you get anything like this in the mail...and be aware!!

Yikkes! I hope you will consider reporting them. Though I do seem to remember vaguely a contest sponsored by them some time ago, I don't see them sending a form without disclosing contest details.
